Finance Chairman: To be elected The committee comprises the Chairman of the Parish Council, Chairman of the Highways & Amenities Committee, the Chairman of the Planning Committee and one other Parish Councillor. The Clerk is always present at the meeting and is Responsible Financial Officer for Council.
The function of the committee is to prepare the budget in readiness for setting the Precept, discuss the budget controls exercised throughout the year and deal with staff matters.
The committee cannot make decisions but makes recommendations to full Council.
All meetings are open to parishioners and advertised on the parish notice-boards. Staff matters are an exempt item and are always discussed in closed session.
