T The Village Clean-Up for 2010 was held on Saturday 24 April. Six Councillors, the Clerk and eight volunteers visited almost every road in the parish and collected fifteen black sacks filled to the brim with rubbish. Thank you to everyone who supported this initiative.
Sadly there seems to be rather a lot of incidents of flytipping recently. Tyres are frequently dumped in the layby in Watercroft Road, almost opposite Cadlocks Hill. Please report all flytipping to Kent Highway Services on 08458 247 800. They will remove all items promptly. This only relates to items dumped on public land - anything dumped on private property must be removed by the owner/tenant.
Many people dump sacks, packaging, rubble and other building materials in the car park of the Pavilion. The Parish Council has to pay someone to remove this which means in the long term it is paid for by residents. If you notice anyone dumping please report it.
