  • Parish Council Reply re SDC Local Plan

    The Parish Council have recently put forward a formal response to SDC about the Draft Local Plan with regard to :

    • the proposed policies within the Plan;
    • the proposed new housing sites put forward within the Plan.

  • Public Inspection Period of Accounts

    Any person interested has the right to inspect the accounting records for the financial year to which the audit relates and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts and other documents relating to those records or documents.

  • 2018 Freighter Service Dates

    The freighter service dates for 2018 are as follows :

    Saturday, May 19th;
    Saturday, August 11th;
    Saturday, November 16th.

    The precise times for the freighter on each of these dates will be confirmed as soon as they are available.

  • Community Safety Newsletter

    The February edition of the Community Safety Newsletter is now available.

  • 431 Bus Service

    The 402 bus service has now stopped and been replaced by the 431 service, operated by Go Coaches.
    The service runs between Orpington High Street and Sevenoaks Bus Station. The timetable is a more restricted than it used to be, with only 4 buses operating per day in each direction.  Also there is no service on Saturdays, Sundays or Public Holidays, including Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

  • Annual Governance Statement

  • Sevenoaks Parking App

    If you are planning to visit Sevenoaks, you can view real-time parking space availability on your smart phone by downloading the free parking app.

    The app includes :

    • latest parking availabilty,
    • navigation to car parks using GPS on your smartphone,
    • let’s you pay for parking via the ParkMobile service.

    The app is available on both iPhone and Android phones.

  • Recreation Ground Benches

    We did mention last year that we would be pleased to welcome help from parishioners to paint the benches on the Recreation Ground.  But, on inspection, there are only four benches which are able to be used.  Thanks must go to Miss Dicker who keeps her brother’s bench in excellent condition.

    There must be other people in the village who own or have connections with  the other benches.  perhaps there are one or two who would like to volunteer to carry out some repairs.

  • Allotments

    There are several vacant plots at the allotments and many of these have been worked in the past so are ready for use.  The annual charge is still £25.00 (to include water costs) and hoses can now be used.
    There are also half plots available at £12.50.
    Several allotment holders are starting up an Allotments Association which means that seeds and plants can often be bought at a reduced price.
